How is my fantasy Baseball Team? How can I make it better??
Your good all round except you need some SB's. A guy to watch for is Nate McClouth a center fielder fo the pirates and maybe even Ryan Freel. I would only use those guys if you have ample Rbi's and HR's and their batting avg. is high.
Reply:Schilling is on the 60 Day DL and I wouldn't trust Johnny Damon's numbers. So I agree with another starting pitcher and I would say another OF. If its a yahoo fantasy league look at Billy Butler of the Royals he is OF and should do very well.
Reply:get another starting pitcher. Besides that, looks pretty solid
Reply:you have 5 SPs, you DONT need another 1! Pick up and middle relief guy that backs up a RP on a good team. Chamberlain, Marmol, guys like that who might fill in for a hurt closer.
Reply:Try and get a better OF because everything else is deep.

Drop Eckstein. He is doing horrible this season. Drop him for Green.
Drop Burrell, Rolen, and Millwood (he is on the DL). I would go after some OF's and another closer and 1 more starting pitcher after you drop these players. Otherwise your team looks good.
Reply:drop brandon phillips
Reply:You should drop david eckstein since you will never need to start him. The guy does not belong on any fantasy team roster. If you ever start david ekstein something has gone terribly worng for your team. I'd start any waiver wire ss if jeter ever got hurt.
Reply:drop rolen for green.. and also drop millwood for someone like joe blanton or chaudin (on the A's also).. or even wakefield
Reply:drop Pat Burrell for Shawn Green.
Reply:k buddy drop gordon for green cuz hes hurt and wont be the closer when he comes back or drop eckstein hes a bust also next time u ask a question with ur whole line up can u put them in a less confusing order ie: c,1b,2b,3b,ss,of,of,of,util,util,util,sp...

Which 2 WR's / 2 RB's / 1 Flex should I play this week?
WR's
A. Boldin @ CIN
L. Coles vs PIT
D. Bowe @ IND
B. Marshall vs TEN
L. Evans vs NE
RB's
F. Gore vs STL
L. Maroney @ BUF
C. Taylor vs OAK
R. Bush @ HOU
M. Morris vs CHI
F. Taylor vs SD
W. Dunn vs TB
Which 2 WR's / 2 RB's / 1 Flex should I play this week?
...Well assuming your Flex is a WR/RB combo here we go.
I like Marshall on monday night against TEN. I think that Cutler has found his go to guy this year even with Walker in and out of the line-up. Also I guess I like Boldin. The other 3 have really touch DEF's to go up against this week, and that is going to hinder their process. I think these 2 have the easiest matchups of the weekend.
For RB, I like Gore if he is healthy, Bush, and C.Taylor. You can arrange them however you want, but those are the best. Gore is supposed to be ready for this weekend vs STL and I hope he is, because in week 2 when they played he had 2 rushing TD's. If he isn't, I would take Maroney. The Bills DEF is weak, and that should provide some good holes and space for Maroney to finally get his first TD this week. Bush is playing a HOU DEF who gives up too many rushing yards. Bush has finally figured out to run straight is better than running side to side and that is going to help him out a lot. Taylor is going up against OAK. Their DEF stinks. They can't stop the run, and won't be able to this weekend either.
WR: Boldin Marshall
RB: Bush, Gore (if healthy)/Maroney, and Taylor
***Sub in Maroney only for Gore if Gore doesn't go. Keep Taylor and Bush in.
Good Luck!!
Reply:I would take bush against Houston. He is going to run the ball, and gets thrown to by bugler. He has a TD in past 3 games. He will get a lot of touches.

Reply:I agree it's about a seven. You made the mistake a lot of owners do in drafting too many bench hitters. These are guys that you won't use. Drop Ensberg and probably Willingham. Pick up another closer if one is out there. Torres of the Pirates might be available. Another SP wouldn't hurt either. Snell of pirates or someone like that is a good pickup. You don't need two catchers and Johjima is too good to drop, so try and trade him. Look for teams that need a catcher and try to get a SP or lower rated closer like a Wickman or one of the Corderos. Good power and speed in your starting Lineup. With two low batting average high power guys like Dunn and Swisher, I'd try and move one for another OF with a bit less power but a little higher average. Someone like Rocco Baldelli could be a good fit. I like your pitching, just not enough of them.

Brade Miller for Michael Redd trade?
only those who know fantasy NBA answer this...
A trade was proposed between Brad Miller for Michael Redd. The trade got veto and the person offering Miller got really upset. He started to curse in our league message board which freaked me out. Who knows what this guy would do next? Will he knock on the doors of those who veto and shoot them in the nuts? who knows...
anyways...would you have veto this trade yourself?
Redd (SG/SF): 23ppg, 44% FG, 86% FT, 1.9 3PT. 4.7 REB, 3.7 AST, 2.6 TO, 1.0 STL, .2 BLK
MIller (C): 14ppg, 44% FG, 86% FT, .4 3PT, 8.9 REB, 3.5 AST, 2.4 TO, .8 STL, 1.1 BLK
If you would have veto, please explain why...
thanks!
Brade Miller for Michael Redd trade?
you fail to mention a key fact. this is a head to head league which has 10 stat categories and daily lineup changes. since when did trading for a position that you desperately need fall out of the formula? what about supply and demand? if i have 3 sg and 1 c i would have to give away a sg to get a c... even if it means downgrading a tad. this isn't about selling out an arena by bringing in big names, fantasy is about pure stats. you do what you need to do to improve your team. and yes i'm the GM that is unloading miller! damn morons... and yes i'm a little sour LOL
Reply:Although I don't think it's an unfair trade, especially considering the play of Miller of late, I'd say Redd is well-too good for a straight-up trade...
The reason vetos are in place are to avoid upsetting the dynamic of the league with "unfair" trades - If your Miller trader wants to argue his point to try %26amp; sway people to alter their vote, I think he should be given the opportunity - but if this is a clear-cut case of a team on the bottom giving up Redd to a team in contention, then you have an issue...
Reply:hell yea i would have vetoed it. the reason why that guy is upset is because the rest of your league arent retards like the guy who accepted the trade. he is mad because he couldnt get away with a steal. look, brad miller sucks, his career is on the downfall, redd can still put up 20 ppg and get you a bunch of 3s shooting a good %. redd is much better than miller.
Reply:I wouldn't have its, semi even, but I would prefer redd.
Reply:Yes.
Just on the names alone I would have vetoed this trade, which I bet most of the people did. Redd is staring to become much more of a household name than Miller is, and that a lot of the time will get people to veto a trade right there.
Next comes the fact that Redd is just better. His PPG, 3's, AST's and steals are better. Also the fact that at anytime Redd can shoot up 50 is always the possibility. Now even though Miller gets RB's and slightly less TO's doesn't even come close to tipping the scale in favor for the guy getting Miller.
Redd is probably one of the 20 best player in this league, and it doesn't hurt that he is the only scorer on his team. Those 23 PPG could easily turn into 30 PPG over a 10 game stretch with a couple of 40 preformances.
The numbers equal it out, but then comes in the player and who they are playing, what they can do, and the team they are on. Miller has never been a 30 point man, but Redd did that on numerous occassions. This trade wasn't fair, even though by the numbers it could have been.
It should have been vetoed.
Good luck!!
Edit: Glad you aren't involved in that trade. I feel sorry for the preson who wanted to trade away Redd. He could have easily gotten a much better center than Miller. The other guy I can understand would be pissed just because he was easily getting the better of this deal.
Reply:i would take miller because hes been really solid this year, but redd has been kinda iffy this year so id say this is fair but the person getting miller gets the better deal
Reply:Are You Trading Redd? Cause Dont.
