Is this a ridiculous trade if i lack power-R.Furcal, C.Young(SD), R.Baldelli for Jermaine Dye?

I'm in a 10 person league, head-to-head. There are some good FA's and i lack a bit of power. My strategy was to load up on batting, and get pitchers (b/c you can play all pitchers) late and to get low ERA high Win pitchers(lots of SPs=lots of K's). My Team:

Not for Dye. Don't pay for a career year. He won't match last year's numbers. Go after a proven perennial power person. heh.

dye- had one outstanding mvp caliber year and the rest of his career he was a decent player who wasnt flashy dont expect tthose same numbers out of him again he just cna put those up two years in a row





and for you to give up


furcal- who is on the dl as of right now but gives you speed aspect of the game and average as well


baldelli- when healthy can hit 25+homers and steal ya 15 and bat around .300 as well so add your two players up thats about 45/170/.310 and around 49 sb that alone is not worth dye and then you throw into the equation


chris young - who has tremendous upside and can really throw a ball and your not getting anyone in rentur i say dont go through with that trade one bit...if you want to give up a c young for sheffield or furcal for sheff and on the list of sowers or hensley who i reccommenneded last time the better one out of the two is indeed hensley because he strikes out more





and if you can grab zumaya and get rid of izzy quite possibly or wait and see what happens with izzy...and maine is starting the 3rd game of the season you could go with a streaming strategy if your leauge has no max moves too..just makign a suggestion
